MPhil Physics

MPhil Physics offered by Department of PhysicsView Course Outline

The MPhil in Physics is a two-year (four-semester) research-based program offering advanced training in both theoretical and experimental Plasma Physics and Materials Science. Research areas include nanoscience, density functional theory (DFT) using WIEN2k, CASTEP, CASTEP Studio/Materials Studio, and SIESTA, machine learning, and Python-based scientific computing. Experimental research is supported by the well-equipped Materials Research Laboratory (MRL) and Centralized Resource Laboratory (CRL), providing state-of-the-art facilities for structural, physical, and materials characterization.
