The PhD in Physics is a research-intensive program of at least three years (six semesters), providing advanced training in both theoretical and experimental Plasma Physics and Materials Science. Research focuses on nanoscience, density functional theory (DFT) using WIEN2k, SIESTA, CASTEP, and Materials Studio, machine learning, and Python-based scientific computing. Experimental research is conducted in the well-equipped Materials Research Laboratory (MRL) and Centralized Resource Laboratory (CRL), featuring state-of-the-art facilities for structural, physical, and materials characterization, enabling high-quality interdisciplinary research.
