  • Worked as Nutrition Research Officer in assessment of Micronutrient Status in Pre-School Children of N.W.F.P, collaborative Project of Agriculture University & family Health Project N.W.F.P, sponsored by World Bank and UNICEF.  
  • Performed in various trainings and workshops in constitution with Health and Nutrition Education Programme, Directorate General Health.
  • Worked as a research team member in acceptability Test of Soya-Fortified flour in various villages of N.W.F.P, organized by WFP, in 2002.

  • Arranged a seminar on "Nutrition for Adolescents" and "Food Myths "12th of May 2025 for the staff and students of Food & Nutrition Sciences in Collaboration with the faculty of IQRA University and Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar.
  • Supervised a four-day workshop on "Culinary Art Skills", organized by the Department of Food and Nutrition Sciences, College of Home Economics, University of Peshawar, for the students of BS 8th Semester.
  • Arranged a seminar on "Infant and Young Child Feeding" on 6th of May 2025 for the staff and students of Food & Nutrition Sciences in Collaboration with the faculty of University of Agriculture Peshawar.
  • Prof Dr. Shazia Ghulam Mohammad, Dr. Amina Rahat, Dr. Zahin Anjum arranged a five-day workshop on "Nutrition in Emergencies” 4th to 8th of November 2024 in College of Home Economics UOP in collaboration with UNICEF, Khyber Medical University, and the University of Agriculture Peshawar for the Staff, students of BS, M.Phil. and Ph.D. From

  • Dr. Amina Rahat and Dr. Zahin Anjum arranged Two-days workshop on “ Nutrition Interventions for Children” for the students of BS 7th  in collaboration with PKNS ( Pak-Korean Nutrition Cell) at University of Agriculture Peshawar dated 1st & 2nd  January 2024.
  • Dr. Fazia Ghaffar  attended and presented a paper and Dr. Zahin anjum attended an International Conference at Hamdard University Islambad titled as “Nutri -Connect, Bridging the gap between Clinical & Public Health Nutrition in Pakistan” 17th to 19th of October 2025.
  • The Table Setting Competition"* held on *10th December,2025* in the Meal Management class of *HND 5th Semester*. The event was organized under the Supervision of Prof. Dr Shazia Shah and the guidance of Dr. Zahin Anjum. The purpose of the activity was to build practical skills in table layout, presentation, and service order.The judges of the competition were Prof. Dr. Kaniz Fatima Haider, Dr Rabia Chishti and Dr. Wasaf Inayat. Judges reviewed every table and shared feedback on placement, color balance, and overall presentation.
  • On World AIDS Day College of Home Economics, University of Peshawar, in collaboration with SRSP and UNFPA, marked 16 Days of Activism Against Digital Violence Against Women along with World AIDS Day. The event was organized under the dynamic leadership of principal Prof. Dr. Shazia Shah. Dr. Zahin Anjum, Head of the Department of Food and Nutrition, delivered an  informative overview on the significance of the day and key preventive measures.
  • The College of Home Economics, University of Peshawar, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), celebrated World Food Day with great enthusiasm and purpose. The event was organized by the Department of Food and Nutrition, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shazia Shah, Principal, and Dr. Zahin Anjum, Head of Department.The ceremony was graced by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Johar Ali, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Naeem Qazi, and Head of FAO, Ms. Kiyal Akmatbek. Students and home-based female Entrepreneurs actively participated through creative stalls, highlighting themes of healthy diets, food sustainability, and nutrition awareness.
  • An Advocacy Seminar on World Breastfeeding Month was arranged at the College of Home Economics, University of Peshawar. The event was organized by the Department of Food & Nutrition Sciences, under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Zahin Anjum, HOD, and the valuable supervision and guidance of Prof. Dr. Shazia Shah, Principal of the College in collaboration with KP Govt and UNICEF.
  • The Principal of the College of Home Economics, Prof. Dr. Shazia Shah , Dr. Fazia Ghaffar & Dr. Zahin Anjum  from Food and Nutrition Department attended a launching Ceremony of  World Breastfeeding Month 2025 in KP arranged by The Nutrition Cell, DGHS KP, in collaboration with UNICEF, inaugurated World Breastfeeding Month 2025 in Peshawar on August 1, 2025.  highlighting the role of academia in promoting breastfeeding awareness.
  • The Department of Food and Nutrition Sciences organized a Four-Day Culinary Art Skills Workshop for the Students of 8th Semester as part of their practical coursework. Held under the supervision of Principal Prof. Dr. Shazia Shah and HoD Dr. Zahin Anjum, the workshop offered hands-on training in Culinary Techniques — dish preparation and presentation. Dated 12th of May-15th of May.2025.
  • The Department of Food and Nutrition Sciences hosted a seminar on "Protein-Calorie Malnutrition," organized by the students of the BS 8th Semester under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Shazia Shah and Dr. Zahin Anjum. The event was held in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), highlighting the department's commitment for raising awareness about critical nutritional issues.
  •  The Department of Food & Nutrition Sciences, College of Home Economics, hosted a landmark event in collaboration with the FAO of the United Nations On 28 November 2024,. The visit of Dr. Lynette Marie Neufeld, Director Food and Nutrition (FAO, Rome), and Mr. Farrukh Tairov, Regional Head FAO KP, highlighted efforts to promote food security and nutrition in the region. Mr. Tairov briefed participants on FAO’s contributions to KP, while Dr. Zahin Anjum, Head of Department, presented the department’s role in addressing nutrition challenges. The event concluded with a panel discussion and closing remarks by Dr. Neufeld, who emphasized sustainable food systems and commended the college’s achievements despite limited resources.
