
Dr. Shah Nawaz Khan is Lecturer at the Centre for Disaster Preparedness and Management, University of Peshawar, Pakistan. He holds PhD in Disaster Preparedness and Management. Currently, he is pursuing postdoctoral research at Keio University, Japan ((https://rajibshaw.org/research/studentdetails/). Dr. Khan specializes in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), with a particular focus on Flood Risk Assessment, Vulnerability Analysis, and Geo-Spatial Modeling. His research interests encompass Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, Climate Change Adaptation, Applications of GIS and Remote Sensing in Disaster Management Studies, and the Integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Risk Assessment, Early Warning, and Decision-Support Systems.
I am currently pursuing my Postdoctoral fellowship in Disaster Risk Reduction from Keio University, Japan. I hold a PhD in Flood Risk Assessment, along with Postgraduate Diplomas in Disaster Management and Geomatics (GIS and Remote Sensing). My academic background also includes an MSc in Geography, a Bachelor of Education (Biological Sciences), and a BSc with majors in Geography, Zoology, and Chemistry. I completed my intermediate education in Pre-Medical studies and matriculation in the Science group.
