
Dr. Sumera Farid is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at the University of Peshawar. She earned her PhD in Social Work from the University of Peshawar and has been engaged in teaching, research, and academic service since 2011. Her work focuses on advancing evidence-based social work practice through high-quality teaching, interdisciplinary research, and community engagement.
Her research addresses key social issues including women's empowerment, health and disability, autism and family resilience, social welfare, and community development. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed national and international journals, supervised postgraduate research, and contributed to curriculum development in social work education.
