Dr. Yorid Ahsan Zia

Prof. Yorid Ahsan Zia is an accomplished academic who possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of Commerce and Management. He holds a Master of Commerce (M.Com.) with a Gold Medal from the University of Peshawar in 1998 and a Ph.D. in Administrative Sciences - Management from the University of the Punjab in 2013. His doctoral dissertation, 'HRM-Performance Link: Looking through a Behavioral Lens', is a testament to his expertise in the field of Human Resource Management. With over 25 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Zia has made significant contributions to the field of Human Resource Management, Public Sector Reforms, and Organizational Trust. He has published on these topics, and his research has been recognized and respected by his peers. He has also served on various academic committees, including the Higher Education Commission's National Curriculum Review Committee on Commerce and National Committee on Examination Systems, as well as the Board of Studies of Commerce at Allama Iqbal Open University and Kohat University of Science and Technology. Currently, Dr. Zia holds the position of Convener of the Graduate Studies Committee and the Board of Studies of Commerce at the University of Peshawar. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Dr. Zia has also held several administrative positions that have given him a well-rounded perspective on the inner workings of academic institutions. He served as the Registrar of the University from November 2019 to March 2021, as Treasurer of the University from June 2013 to March 2017, and as Deputy Controller of Examinations from January 2011 to June 2013. Currently, he heads the University Committee on Implementation of Campus Management Solutions and Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions.

Dr. Zia is currently a Professor and Principal at the Quaid-e-Azam College of Commerce, University of Peshawar, where he teaches courses on Organizational Theory and Human Resource Information Systems. His expertise, knowledge, and experience make him an excellent candidate for any academic institution looking to strengthen its faculty of commerce and management.
