The Mushkpuri Expedition 2026 was organized by the Department of Archaeology, Tourism & Hotel Management, University of Peshawar on 8 May 2026 as part of its commitment to experiential learning and outdoor education. The expedition took students to the breathtaking destinations of Nathiagali and Mushkpuri Top, offering an ideal blend of adventure, academic learning, and environmental appreciation. The journey began with travel from the University of Peshawar to Nathiagali, followed by a guided trek to Mushkpuri Top, one of the most scenic peaks in the Galiyat region. Throughout the expedition, students explored the area's rich natural landscapes while gaining practical insights into eco-tourism, destination management, mountain tourism, visitor safety, and sustainable tourism practices. The event encouraged teamwork, leadership, physical fitness, and responsible travel through group trekking and interactive field-based activities. Students also participated in photography and videography, documenting the natural beauty of the region and enhancing their observational and storytelling skills. To ensure a safe and comfortable experience, the Department arranged round-trip transportation, meals, and basic first-aid facilities for all participants. Faculty members supervised the expedition, ensuring that the activity remained both educational and enjoyable. The Mushkpuri Expedition 2026 successfully demonstrated the Department's vision of combining classroom knowledge with real-world experiences, equipping students with practical skills and a deeper appreciation for Pakistan's natural heritage. The expedition provided lasting memories while reinforcing the importance of sustainable tourism, environmental stewardship, and experiential learning in tourism and hospitality education.
