About the Teacher

Dr. Mehboob-ur-Rashid holds a PhD in Public Administration (Finance) and an MBA (Finance) from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan. He has more than twenty years of teaching and research experience, specializing in accounting, finance, and Islamic finance at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is among the pioneering academics who introduced Islamic banking and finance courses into the management sciences curriculum in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Dr. Mehboob has served as a Subject Expert for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission and as a member of selection boards at various universities. He has also worked as a trainer on several capacity-building and entrepreneurship development projects for internally displaced persons (IDPs), funded by UKaid and the Government of Japan, in collaboration with UNDP Pakistan and the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the FATA Recovery Program.

In addition, he has received professional training in Islamic banking and finance from the National Institute of Banking and Finance, Pakistan and Institute of Management Sciences, peshawar, Pakistan. He has also completed professional training in innovative teaching methodologies and entrepreneurship education through international partnerships with the University of Kentucky (USA) and British Council–HEC initiatives, and has participated in several national and international workshops on entrepreneurship, active learning, and research development.

Teaching Experience

Dr. Mehboob-ur-Rashid has extensive teaching experience at leading public sector universities, including the University of Peshawar, Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar, and the University of Agriculture, Peshawar. He has taught a wide range of courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including Principles of Accounting, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Advanced Accounting, Financial Management, Business Finance, and Islamic Banking and Finance.

Administrative Experience
